Ok that is an officially wtf mate. Donna says that Mythbusters did a whole episode about this, and it doesn't reinflate the tires, it just re-seats the tire on the rim. It will still be flat-ish but it will not fall off of your car. So basically the heat makes the air expand temporarily, forcing the tire back where it belongs. Then the air cools off again, leaving the tire just as flat as before but not as dangerous. Or something. You still have to pump it up. Without hairspray or a lighter.
