Using the fact that bad things still happen in the world to support an assertion that Fascism in Europe was not defeated is... ...tell you what, look up “WWII” and scroll down to the bottom; the conclusion is a matter of record.

1) forgive me...but when Americans generally say that about the war they are more or less exclusively talking about themselves.

2) It would have been nice for your Government to have acted as soon as the major Allied forces declaired war. It looks a little bad that you ignored the war, waited until the entire continent was lost, and then, when they finally bought the war to you, you advanced and were their for the victory. Call it sour grapes, but its the prevelent european thought...some of us lost our superpower status because we put everything into that fight...some of us gave comparatively little and ended up with the most after the fight simply because of how much the rest of us had been reduced. Our superpower status was over three hundred years old...less then a century after the war and your fast looosing yours.

3) You had a stand off with them and they buckled under internal pressure. You did not fight them. You gestured, you gesticulated, you aimed your rockets etc...but you didnt walk over their and crush them. You just stared them down until they had an enternal squabble. There is no need to get gungho about things like that...in essence you two played silly beggers like Iran is doing right now...I suppose your whuppin their asses right now also

1) well, as your Government invented the term, they are free to declaire themselves the victors anytime they please. Whenever you get bored you can say...well we did iraq, we did afghanistan, we won the war on terror.

incidently, every day your enemies can grow, and attack inspite of a claim like that because you cant eradicate terrorism completely

2) Wrong. What happened when GOD gave too much freedom to the Host? What happened when GOD gave freedom to man? Rebellion. Give people the minds to do what they want and they will exert a will, that will only need conflict with someone elses will...and you have a battle.

Study your Nietzsche...the Will to power, the Will to knowledge...its the only thing that rings true out of his philosophies.

The safest thing is a benign dictatorship where people live in a state of utopic unknowing...thats what the Garden of Eden was before the two ate...incidently you will recall the name of the tree "The Knowledge of Goodness and Evil" the freedom to choose rightly or wrongly.

The good news is that true love can not exist without freedom, because it has to be a choice.

Put too much freedom in all the wrong places and you create something eqaully as bad as anything the freedom can liberate from. Anarchy is unpleasent, relativism is tasteless, No....Freedom is the very last thing you want to give anyone with a brain, incase they turn round and use it. Even GOD gives laws to his Freedom. He is for all intense and purposes a benign dictator who we voluntarily choose to follow. His "Freedom" is not without cost to either the two of the relationship.

Freedom isnt free...and is extremely dangerous.

I will never forget the baby Zebra Finches...they existed for the first eight days of their lives completely blind, completely featherless, and completely unable to keep heat. They couldnt walk around, only shuffle. They existed, they sat silently until something touched them, then they flapped wildly around.

On the Eighth day they opened their eyes, and something increadible happened. They decided they wanted to do things. They gained a will. They looked and for the first time they saw...and then they desired.

Eight days, and they had gone from existance as a vegetable, to existance as awareness.

The transistion was immediate...the eyes opened, and they suddenly had something they didnt before, and everything else hinged on that, their desire to move, their desire to fly, everything became a matter of want.

In some ways they were so much easier to deal with when blind. they caused no fuss...but in another way, they werent fully responsive...that is to say, they were responsive when you touched them...but other then that, it was all stimulas and response. When they opened their eyes and decided they wanted to perch on your finger, as an act of choice, that was so much more fun.

I wonder if thats how GOD feels, and why he would risk everything in the hope a few would come back of their own accord, rather then having a mass case of stimulas and response...
