And the Wrestlers well he can Submit all of them.

His standup is getting better each time... Im not saying he is the future Champ but I see him hanging with all the top Dogs
No way he could submit Matt, Pierce, Kos, Ellenberger...No way..
A cold?

I think he Can... He was on a 5 Submission winning streak before Nate Landed the Lucky punch in there fight.

His last submission was a Triangle Choke on Chael

The weight cut will be interesting I always saw him as a small MW, If he masters the cut I think he subs a lot of wrestlers.

It depends when he cuts and when he fights.

I think Maia caught his first string of opponents off guard...and lets face it, guys like Herman & Sonnen are prone to submissions...not to mention Ryan Jensen has lost 7 of 8 fights by submission. Maia's last 7 fights have gone to decision with 3 of those being losses, one of those an embarrassment against Anderson Silva. I think it's safe to say he's been figured out, and it will continue at 170. Not to mention, it's been 5 years since he was a BJJ champ...concentrating on other MMA facets mean his submission skills could also have eroded in that time frame, bringing him from 'elite' down to just 'very good'...not good in the wrestling-heavy 170 division.

I could be way wrong...prove it Damian!

I like Maia but I think he'll just be one of those guys who hangs around for a while before making an exit to Strikeforce or Bellator.
