look at nog, if i remember correct, he won the interim title when randy "retired" yet randy came back from over a year still as the champ .. i think even at one point shane carwin was the interim champ and people don't consider him the champ ... so they could strip gsp, but when he comes back and beats condit or diaz or whoever, people will know he didn't even lose it in the first place

This is why I said he'd need to defend the belt a few times before being considered 'legit'. Mir was stripped, but most people still refer to Sylvia & Arlovski as ex-Champs, because they defended at least twice afterwards.
