I always get a good laugh when people start talking about fighters "ducking" other fighters because they are "scared".

If Anderson's out until June, I think it's smart for Chael to stay active. I mean, he had a 14 month lay-off between fights, it'd be absolutely stupid for him to wait another 8. Munoz is a danger due to his hands & his own wrestling pedigree. I think it'll make for a great bout. On top of that, Chael's gonna be all over the media hyping this up. After his last appeareance on the Jim Rome, he had callers saying they don't watch MMA, but they'd drop $50 to watch him. He's gauranteed to be back on Jim for this one & a ton of clones will be amped up to watch him live for free. Add to that Fox will be plugging him & spamming his sound bites. This is going to make for a massive draw.

As for Anderson, I think that this shoulder injury was convenient. I have no doubt that he's hurt & no doubt that he needs to heal up & January would be too soon for him. I think he's choosing to milk it just a bit in order to fight in front of his home crowd again, but who can blame him for that? If I were the champ & I had a legit reason I could use to delay until I was lined up to fight in front of my hometown, absolutely!

Like both guys a lot, but I'll give the edge to Sonnen here.

people picking chael to lose i wanna know how? Ive neve seen chael outstruck in a fight even against anderson and he has never been knocked out. Also dont think munoz can out wrestle chael considing he couldnt even come close to taking down okami... His best chance is a sub off his back honestly!

I like Munoz, he always comes to fight, but I think this will look just like Chael fighting Brian Stann.

I think Munoz beats him, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was by TKO. Just because you have never been knocked out doesn't mean it can't happen. I think Munoz is more explosive and he will keep the pressure on Chael, which will lead to him winning.
