On the same name thing, I did ask "who does that" to a friend and was reminded of George Foreman. I have a hard time think these two people did anything out of honor. Maybe more like branding.

My mom calls all her grandkids George. Doesn't matter if they are male or female; she calls them George. It was mostly to poke fun at them when they were little but now they accept it and just answer.
I dated a guy in high school whose first name was Ralph. He went by James, his middle name, but it was tradition to name all first born males Ralph. ~Amy
