Once again, thanks to all you guys for your prayers and support.
The funeral was yesterday, and my dad was buried at the National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix where the VA provided a very beautiful memorial to my father for his time served in the ARMY in Vietnam. He was buried next to my sister Jessica, who died when she was just a baby from SIDS. Also some members of the Mesa Chapter of the American Legion provided a motorcycle escort for my dad on the 30 mile trip from the funeral home to the cemetery in north Phoenix. It was as nice as someone could expect something like this to be, even though it was a day of record heat here in Arizona as the temps were around 113-115. We also got hit with a big dust storm and giant thunderstorm after we got back to Mesa/Apache Junction. My stepmom was happy to see the clouds coming, as she put it; "If it rains after a funeral, it means they are upstairs crying with you". Again, thanks to everybody here for your prayers and messages. |

I know I'm getting in on the tail end of this, but just wanted to let you know I'm sorry for your loss and I'll be keeping you and your family in prayer. I lost my dad back in 99. Losing a parent is hard thing and it hurts for a long time. It does get better with time, but there is not a day that goes by you don't think about them. Praying for comfort during this time and that the Lord will meet the need of your heart today.
