30 hours of fights for $2.40

I just moved to a new area a couple weeks ago, and today I decided to stop in this little 99 cent store in the strip mall by my local Safeway to get some paper and cleaning products. As I was browsing the store, I noticed they had some DVD's and CD's on a rack marked 60 cents each. Normally, I wouldn't even bother wasting my time sifting through Spanish B-movies and made for Lifetime specials that ended up going straight to DVD, but out of the corner of my eye I noticed an NBA logo in the pile of cases. So, with my interest raised, I decided to see what was there.

That's when I noticed a case with none other than Quinton Rampage Jackson starting back at me.

Cutting to the chase, I ended up finding a bunch of old King of the Cage DVD's. Two of them were 5 disc sets, one is a 2 disc set, and one is entirely dedicated to Rampage. I've seen these same sets at Best Buy for like 15 or 20 bucks a few years back, but I got all 13 discs (with over 30 hours of fights) for only about $2.40. They are all brand new too, not used.

The list of names on these discs is enough to make Dana White's heart skip a beat, seeing as how I'm sure there are plenty of hardcore fans who would pay good money for this old footage if Zuffa could slap a UFC logo on it. Obviously KOTC isn't produced as sharply as UFC or a lot of other newer orgs in recent years, but the nostalgia alone makes it worth far more than a few bucks to even a casual fan.

Just thought this was a killer find, and felt like sharing it with you guys.

What's funny is that I just realized I paid more for my last pack of UFC trading cards than I did on 30 hours of actual fights today.

Great find, JB!

I just ordered the UFC 1 - 10 DVD box set and I think it was around $50 with shipping. Still worth it but I'd have loved to find it for $5...
