Default Why King Jigme III of Bhutan is so important

Bhutan is a small Country in the Himilayan Mountains, which is shared with Nepal and Tibet. The People in Bhutan are very strong, having survived numerous invasion attempts from China particularly under the Monghols, and Tibet. Whats more important is, that these attacks were even failiures when the Country itself was going through Civil War during its formation in the 1600s The country seems to have held unsteady piece under Fuedalism since then for two centuries, strong enough to resolve a successful invasion of parts of North India, until the North Indian Kingdoms appealed for help from England which had most of India within its Empire. Bhutan retreated following British intervention

in the 1800s, finally one of the Fuedal masters was strong enough to claim a throne. After defeating the rival barons he declared himself an absolute Monarch. They had excellent connections with England following the Empire Recognition of Soverignty for the State, and with the support of the Monastic Foundations of Bhudist orientations, the King founded his Dynasty.

When India gained Independance for England, Bhutan decided to set up a National Assembly to show willing on the side of Democratic Progress. by the Early 1980s however Bhutan despite being a member of the United Nations had a juvinile on the Throne and many people fled the country fearing of religious persecution

King Jigme Wangchuck III, the Fourth King of Bhutan was greatly effected by the US War on Terror. He himself was a hardline Bhudhist, who may or may not have been responsible for inflicting terror into the hearts of the Bhudists who fled the country on his asscension as a Teenager. Twenty years on he decided to Clense his Countries Jungles of Terrorism by sending in his Army to remove suspected terrorists. He then bought in sweeping Political reforms. For Example, he allowed Televisions and Internet Access which had not been permitted in Law due to hardline Bhudism, He also allowed Democratic Ellections to the National Assembly, creating methods by which they could remove the Monarch by a vote of No Confidence, but ensured a Constiutional Democrasy. All between 2003 and 2005

In 2006 He decided it was best having preserved all that, to abdicate. I personally really believe that he was fearful that because of the religious exhiles when he first came to power, he thought it highly possible that the United States of America would consider him unfit to be a King, and that to remain in power despite sweeping changes, may not be enough to make sure that his country wasnt added to the axis of evil list. I dont think the United States of America ever gave Bhutan a single passing thought, but I think that King Jigame had his conscience pricked by what was going on in Afghanistan and Iraq, and had the courage to change his country, and then the sense to resign.

In 2008, after the settling in period of the reforms, his son, King Jigme IV was pronounced King...he has an extremely beautiful Queen
