The Lincolnwood grad, who now lives in St. Louis with his wife Laura, will be starting his own gym at 3684 Forest Park Avenue in St. Louis, with hopes of opening the doors in mid to late July.

The new Watson Martial Arts facility will be housed on the second floor of the building, which is also home to The Lab Gym, a fitness facility with a range of cardio and weight equipment, locker rooms, and showers. Members of Watson's gym will also have 24 hour access to The Lab.

Watson says that his main focus will be on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, in which he is a black belt, but will also delve into other areas of martial arts.

"BJJ will be the focus, but I will also offer kickboxing (both muay thai and cardio), kid classes, MMA, and wrestling classes," Watson said.

According to his website, www.watsonbjj.com, the school is "dedicated to making a positive impact on people’s lives by exposing them to the many benefits martial arts has to offer."
