I don't get why the UFC hasn't just scrapped Rashad v Mr Wonderful and made the fight happen. More hype means more $$$ which is ultimately what they want.

Honestly I think it's really just bad timing the way the story leaked out...

Jones has fought 4 times in one year.. March '10-March '11. That honestly is alot of fights....how many other fighters do that.. and then he fought in Feb.. and MARCH for the title... back to back PPVs and winning the LHW title on the second...

Jones isn't scared of Rashad... No I havne't spoken to him.. but I do have a friend that has... and to really think that he is ducking him... that's funny. Not specific to you Atom.. just ... comon.. Jones has WALKED through everyone he has had a fight with..

I don't know that a Chuck in his prime could beat him...I don't know that Lyoto could beat him.. (but I think we will see that one in early 12)..

That's what I say...

OK.. Jones isn't having surgery.. talk to the 3 fighters involved.. tell Phil.. hey buddy.. you get the loser.. and you win that.. you get a title shot..."take one for the team"...

But since contacts are signed.. and Phil doesn't have anything to lose.. no real motovation for Phil to back down...

OK, so FIRST Rashad bashes Jones because he AGREED to the fight....NOW he's bashing him for making a decision NOT to fight based on NUMEROUS doctors telling him he needed surgery.

People keep saying Jones should have "gotten another opinion"--but if you read their announcement that he's NOT having surgery, they state that he got NUMEROUS opinions and ALL the doctors said he needed surgery-so he pulled out of the fight--only to have the consult with the surgeon, which is generally right before the surgery...and be told that he didn't feel Jones needed it at this time. And you know what? Jones could have gone ahead and had the surgery--and not told anyone what that surgeon said...and "saved face" if he was really ducking this fight.

For Jones to duck Evans is absolutely absurd. You know the UFC is absolutely going to make that fight happen with all the press it's getting--regardless of the outcome of the Evans/Davis fight.

I hope Jones annihilates Evans. Embarrasses him. Maybe rips his voicebox out through his neck...

I think for some reason he doesn't really wanna fight him.

I don't know if its because of the past friendship,
the hype, the craptalk, etc... I don't know,
but it just comes off like Jones doesn't want the fight.

At this point I have a hard time believing Jon Jones would be scared to fight any man.

the whole thing is stupid. Neither of them are making themselves look good. I don't buy this rivalry anyway, seems way too forced. The timing of the news is also terrible which jones' manager probably should have paid more attention to.
