Maybe he's camera shy! Poor little thing, he does look like an ugly duckling. How soon before he gets some color and the feathers fill out? Even though he's no longer being nested by the parents, they are all together, aren't they?

Inquiring minds want to know. I love birds but already have my hands full with 3 dogs and 2 cats. So it's nice to live vicariously through your finch adventures...

Mother thinks that it was because his eyes had just opened, and they hurt if he faced anywhere near the window coz of the sunlight. Well...Colouring is interesting...he wont get his plumage for about 6 weeks...he will fill out with fluff, and his coat is coming along now...he has a black head and a white infant plume thus far
