Marijuana Seized at Falfurrias Border Patrol Checkpoint

FALFURRIAS–The Border Patrol checkpoint in Falfurrias just north of McAllen has seized multiple tons of marijuana this week, worth millions of dollars on the streets.

In its biggest seizure, agents stopped a tractor-trailer carrying cotton seed at the checkpoint. They sent the driver a secondary inspection and found 359 bundles of marijuana inside within the load. The marijuana weighed close to 9,000 pounds. The driver was arrested.

Border Patrol Agents at the Falfurrias Checkpoint were busy this week, making multiple seizures of marijuana headed northbound. In all, they discovered five tons this week, worth about $8.5 million.

Although I think they could use the help from armed Guard units! On a side note Romose and Compean are of Mexican decent I think. They got in trouble for doing their job. Being a BP agent is a very dangerous and thankless job thanks to our politicians and the drug cartels!
