Elway threw some picks in his day, but not like Favre.

Favre threw over 15 picks in 14 seasons, and he threw over 20 picks in 6 seasons (if he throws another pick this year it will be 7 seasons). That's a lot of picks (most ever), and 110 more than Elway in general.

INT's aren't always the best way to judge a QB on the whole, obviously, but Favre is the INT king for a reason. He always thought he could throw a twinkie into a toaster and that's what gets him in trouble so often. It should be noted though, when Elway finally won those 2 Super Bowls, the first one was over the defending champion Packers and Favre actually outplayed Elway in that game (even though they lost).
Elway also has no where near the amount of td's brett has... There was a couple years during the 80's where Elway threw more interceptions then touchdowns.. although it wasnt as much of a "quarterbacks league" as it is now... Elway also never had the go through the declining years of his career which skew numbers because he ended his career way younger then favre on a stacked team.

No doubt. Can't take anything away from Favre. He kept playing longer, and at a very high level. When you play the game the way Brett does, for as long as he has, it's no wonder he has the records for most TD's and most INT's.

If I had to pick between Elway or Favre, I would take Favre.
