Default RUMOR MILL: UFC & NBC looking to make a deal

Apaprently somebody on the UG started posting these rumors. I have no clue to their validity, but here they are (my comments in RED):

Quote:
  • The UFC is looking to leave Spike TV and hop aboard NBC/Universal. Apparently, that's the reason why the UFC is now on Versus.
    • I'd like to have the UFC on free TV if this is true . . .
  • The UFC will absorb the lightweight talent of WEC and the organization will be kept around to contend with Bellator.
    • Doesn't NBC already have a deal with Bellator????
  • Urijah Faber will be a coach on The Ultimate Fighter in 2011.
    • Could be fun, but the censors will be kept busy pixelating his butt-chin.
  • The UFC may debut on NBC as early as the 2nd quarter of 2011
    • Just in time for my April birthday!
  • Alistair Overeem will be in the UFC by 2011
    • Interesting match-ups available. I say give him Kongo first so he can get a chance to KO a "name"
  • Versus will most likely be rebranded to NBC Sports.
  • All the UFC shows this year were 'stress tests' to see if ZUFFA can handle the new NBC TV deal which they plan to roll out in 2011.
    • If this is true, then I'd say the stress may have been too much. The cards have been fairly watered-down as of late.
  • We also could see the UFC on G4 TV sometime next year.
    • Great, swapping one cable channel for another doesn't help me, Dana!
Anyone else got any thoughts on this stuff?

I have heard all those rumors too. Versus getting re-branded seems logical, and I could see them trying to work exclusively with NBC.
