Default Nan has finally sold her house!!!

It went on the market Early 2009, at 179K which is reasonable for a semi detatched, two story, three bedroomed house with back garden. But it didnt sell that year, and wasnt looking like it was going to sell this year...and here is the problem

Nan only owns half the house. The other half of the house was owned by her third late Husband, when he died it passed back into his Estate, which means that they have a say in what happens with the house, as presumably, they get half the money from the sale.

Anyway, Mother put her foot down with the Estate Agents and the Estate, and she said come what may, her Mother would not be living in that house come December...so they had two options, drop the house and hope it sells, or run the risk of it being vacent whilst remaining on the market. Noone wanted that...so they dropped the price to 160K about two weeks ago.

She tells me that someone is coming to replace her sign tomorrow with a "sold" sigh.

Now here is the best bit. When Nan, nearly two years ago, came up to scout for flats to move into, she went to a set of flats near the cinema, she looked at a flat...and on the way out she bumpped into an Elderly guy who was coming out of the flat next door. He told her that he had just bought the flat for his own Mother, had done it up good as new...she had moved into it...and after a single day had died. So he said he would save it for my Nan at a reasonable price.

He's kept that Flat for her more then 16 months to date. I guess she reminds him of his Mother? I dont know...apparently he's wealthy...we told her at nearing on 90 she was NOT to even consider a fourth husband.

Gracious...can you imagine in a year or two, my 90 year old MMA fan of a Nan getting married AGAIN! LOL

Dave, every vid but the last one said "error has occurred, please try again later". The last one was good--y'all talking about your American Dream tours.

Your Nan looks and sounds lovely. So now, she'll be living close to you. That will be nice.
