I kept getting really weird looks from all the guys sitting around me 'cause once Matt won, I'd jump up after every fight, grab all my stuff & go running off . . . only to re-materialize just as Buffer was introducing the next contestants!

Matt, I've been watching you for many years - well I've been watching UFC since the epic Royce Gracie/Dan Severin days actually!

Starting with your definitive performance against Renzo Gracie in UFC 112 and now with your trademark choke in UFC 117, you have reestablished yourself as one of the current elites in the game.

Personally I think you've gotten even better than you were when you held the championship - a huge accomplishment and I'm sure a sacrifice for you and your family.

I can't think of anybody else who has done what you've done - I hope you will continue to participate in future.
