McGee/McGray Moved up to Main Event Status

Apparently the UFC finally figured out that no one cares about Hamill/Jardine

As the "Ultimate Fighter" season 11 finale show draws near, finalists Kris McCray and Court McGee, who square off in the middleweight division for a 6-figure contract, have been bumped up to the main event for the Saturday night show.

The UFC made the move on Tuesday moving McCray vs. McGee to the top of the card, while light heavyweights Keith Jardine and Matt Hamill will remain the co-main event for the televised show on Spike TV.

McCray enters the "Ultimate Fighter" finale after fighting the most times ever during one season in the show's history. Fighting a total of 5 times during the 6-week filming period is the most ever, and McCray worked hard to get the wins to bring him to the showdown on Saturday night.

Working with Team Lloyd Irvin, McCray brings an undefeated record of 6-0 to Las Vegas for the chance to win the "Ultimate Fighter" contract, and a guaranteed future with the UFC.

Court McGee, who was coached by former light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell during the season, also worked with the San Luis Obispo fighter and his team prior to this fight, as well as his regular squad in Utah.

Battling his way through a lifetime of adversity, McGee has already fought some of the toughest wars outside of the cage, and now he tries to bring his life full circle by making a career for himself when he faces McCray for the "Ultimate Fighter" finale.

The card takes place in Las Vegas at the Palms this Saturday night, and will be televised on Spike TV starting at 9pm ET/PT.

Jardine rarely wins....and when he does they aren't against anyone that compelling...Hamill is an interesting fighter on account he is deaf alone.

Hee hee! Yeah, I figured that, but what are the odds of a Mc vs Mc...

I think Matt Hamill is a great fighter, he got robbed in the UK Bisping fight, IMO. Yes, it's more of a challenge for him because he's deaf but I forget all about that when I'm watching him fight. He's got great heart and no quit.

Jardine has some interesting wins; after all, he got that decision against Chuck Liddell and his game plan worked out great. But no matter who he fights, when I think of Keith Jardine I picture the Houston Alexander beatdown when Houston stood over him after the fight was stopped, all amped up, with a wide stance and fists clenched. It always brings to mind a dog marking his territory, lol!!!
