Food scales

Does anyone use, or have used in the past, a food scale? I need one but I don't know anything about them. I was looking on eBay and they seem to go from pretty cheap to not so cheap.I was wondering if price really made a difference. All I need it to do is weigh food.
Any advise?

Drug dealers probably know where to get the best deals on scales. They used to steal them from the children's hospital when I worked there. We used them to weigh diapers to know how much a baby was peeing.
