It's a paper sack with a paper-clip chain & sharpie stitching.

Looks like it's got the "Chanel" logo. It clashes horribly with that striped ensemble.

You know, seeing those pictures has almost changed my views regarding the DP. At the very least, the people responsible for the attacks should undergo the same acid baths.

I loved the logo part too, Bonnie! I still think it's a chav bag. Am I right, Tyburn?

Unfortunately, it is all too real. The woman didn't receive surgery. She formed adhesions and eschars.

Your comment reminds me of a quote by General Charles Napier on how the British dealt with suttee in India: "You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre. Beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom, and then we will follow ours.

Great quote, PTM. Those pictures were hard to look at but I think they should be published everywhere. This is happening often in India also.

I noticed many of these girls were mutilated at 12 or 13. They were all so heartbreaking, particularly the one whose father decided he didn't want another girl in the family. I had heard of her story before.
