Mike Mayock had negative things to say about Russell when he was drafted. He said he wasn't focused enough on football to be a number 1 pick. He took a lot of flack for those comments at the time, turns out he was right! Russell has been a disaster.

most people paid more attention to his arm rather than his work ethic, decision-making, and other intangibles...I don't care how far you can throw the ball, if you aren't intelligent enough and don't work hard enough at QB, the NFL isn't going to be kind to you
