Default Jerky

Hey guys

I was just wondering how much you guys pay for Jerky over there in the states?

We pay on average about 2 (About $2 then I think) for 25 grams which is a bit steep I reckon.

Cheers

Robert

Its pretty expensive here too. I dont ever buy it. We make our own from deer and turkey and beef. Its cheaper to make it in the smoker and tastes better too!

Oooh, you're so lucky to have a smoker and all, that sounds great! (mmm, smoked salmon)

Heh, I'm not sure how much 25 grams is, Robert, but we get 1# Oberto's at Costco for $11. They have the best prices in our neck of the woods.

I thought for sure that "jerky" was code for something else. I didn't know what that something else was though. 2 euro is about 2.60 or so is us dollars.

I don't buy jerky.

Something like this works but you'll have to use flavoring to make it taste like it's been smoked.

My smoker looks alot like this....

Its alot older, but we keep it on the back porch and we smoke all of our jerky, along with bbq chicken, steaks and well, just about anything we want. The hickory chips give it a really good flavor.
