I haven't paid much attention to them recently, but I always dug the earlier stuff up through Psalm 69 in the early 90's. They are a unique group.

Awesome album! Probably the only Nirvana CD that I actually enjoyed and could listen to all the way through over and over again.

A lot of the albums/discs mentioned here I do like most/all of the songs, but there have only been a few which I liked all from the first listen. Some took a few listens to get me.
Another one that I like is X's "More Fun in the New World." Alice in Chains "Dirt" was good, along with Jane's Addiction "Ritual De Lo Habitual." My favorite U2 album is "Boy." It's not as sophisticated as their later stuff but really caught my attention when it first came out. I'll have to make a list of songs on the albums mentioned and check out the ones I haven't heard. Thanks for all the responses. It will hopefully expose me to some new stuff I may have never heard about. |

Another CD to check out would be Prick's self-titled debut. Back in the 1990s, Trent Reznor (of NIN) "discovered" some smaller artists and helped to get them nationally recognized. Two of these bands were Prick and Marilyn Manson. Unfortunately, only the lesser of these two bands became famous.
Prick - Communique: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfUwxI9Jlis The entire album is excellent.

Well, considering how many CDs I've owned in my lifetime, it still is really rare.
