Thank you for sharing that, Flo. I didn't even realize it was this week. I shall do some remembering.

This is the first time I've heard this music. It was haunting when the camera would pan around the isolation cells but also very moving, the soprano sung so beautifully. TY for posting it, PTM.

It actually makes me sick to say this...

I know 2 people that say that the Holocaust didn't happen...

I used to consider one of them a friend...

That's sad, Spirit. It is one of the most well-documented atrocities - the obsession with archiving everything was a double-edged sword for the perpetrators of the Shoah. I'd give you some links to send your friend but they are readily available online and I think some people would not accept the truth if it hit them in the face.

You're Welcome.

The words of this "sorrowful song" are:

No, Mother, do not weep,
Most chaste Queen of Heaven
Support me always.
"Zdorowas Mario" (Ave Maria)

The prayer was etched on wall 3 of cell no. 3 in the basement of "Palace," the Gestapo's headquarters in Zakopane; beneath is the signature of Helena Wanda Blazusiakowna, and the words "18 years old, imprisoned since 26 September 1944"
