Default Leg injury question

Hey Forumites,
So last weekend while sparring I took a couple big kicks to my left quad. Sat and Sun I was having a hard time extending my leg, but by Monday it was better movement-wise. Now I'm getting a dull pain in my knee whenever I stand up or extend my leg. The pain builds and then goes away. Now I'm findind that my hamstrings are really tight which I figure has to do with the quad being bruised or something.
Anyone had this happen?
What did you do for it?
No surface bruising or major swelling so I was using a heat patch. today actually feels the same if not a bit worse.

I actually just finished DLing a video called "Bullet-Proof Knees" by one of the top Personal Trainer/Physical Therapist dudes in the country. It's a lecture he's giving to students (Grad level, I believe) & it's all about rehabbing/building strong knees. I'll PM you a link.

Well sometimes when we inure a body part we tend to compensate how we use that body part. Did you change how you walked or moved on it. ALso lifting my upper legs will sometimes cause other areas of my legs to be sore. So it could just be the effects of the kicks.

Should be fine within the week, keep ice and heat on it, get some rubs on it and take some tiger balm. weight training heavy on legs a week is my recop time .
