http://youtu.be/HHcHYisZFLU It's directed by Ridley Scott, who also directed the 1979 film Alien (along with other big movies like Legend, Bladerunner, Gladiator, etc.). From what I've read, it was originally supposed to take place in the same universe as the Alien series, but grew into something completely different. You can still see some visual ties to the original 1979 film, however. Really excited about this one.

yeah I jsut caught the trailer yesterday and it looks pretty awesome. I might even drag my self to the theatre for this one. LOL

I've heard too many bad or lackluster reviews, so I'm going to wait until it hits the dollar rentals.
If I had heard some actual positive reviews of the movie, then I might be more interested in seeing it. As it is, the most positive review of this film I've heard started out with "It was okay, but...."
