Going up in weight by gaining fat and not muscle is hardly a strategy for success, especially at the top level against a guy like GSP. If BJ wants to really wants a shot at GSP at 170, he needs to take a year and do a real muscle bulk, then work on his conditioning.
I agree with BJ when he states that martial arts is used to neutralize a larger, stronger man, and that size doesn't matter. However, when you're talking about 20-30 pounds difference in another world class martial artist, you can throw that kind of logic right out the window.
