I've always wondered what, if any, long-term effects it has on these fighters bodies gaining weight then having to cut weight over and over or if the time between the fights makes this negligible.
I think Matt's been doing it so long that his body has become conditioned to it.
I do know that gaining or losing too much weight over too short a period of time can result in liver damage. However, Matt's cutting weight, not losing weight, for a fight. Which means that it's mostly water weight not fat that he's losing.
