I'm definitely liking eating fruits and veggies. It's alot more fun to figure out what to eat then "another can of soup". The bad part is that thought requires more time out of the day.
I was just reading a muscle synthesis studies and it said that after an intense workout, make sure to get 8+ hours of sleep that night because the muscles recover the best from being torn up, and in turn, that will speed up future metabolism when you wake up. When you kick start that metabolism in the morning with whole grains and fruit, it's like a jump start on a car. It's ready to go.
Breakfast is my favorite meal and I typically don't watch it too closely. I love potato for breakfast and I always have a turkey sausage, egg and cheese in a whole grain wrap. The I get a side of home fries (which probably aren't that great for me but man they are gooood!
Lunch I eat chicken or fish with a pasta or/ and a veggie
Dinner I eat chicken or fish (sometimes beef) and a veggie.
My toughest things to go without are cheese. I refuse to give it up.
Before my workout I'll eat 3/4 cup of oatmeal and apple sauce mixed together. It seems to give me a ton of energy.
