Haha, well, we do if we want to model our Christ-like behavior so they aspire to want to be like Christ.
Claiming you can do "all things" through Christ and attributing that to something outside of God's will like, your own will for example, and then when you fail to succeed at it kind of spoils the whole notion of doing all things through Christ who strengthens you.
It's a fail in the mind of the unsaved who may be seeking truth because they don't understand the context partly because some people misuse the context and twist it around to make it about them, not Christ, not through His Perfect Will.
I know too many non-believers who scoff because of the misapplication of scripture.
