I agree with both of you that it is supposed to mean that, but I wonder if it comes off as "I can succeed" at _______ instead. I think the average person may assume that since it is used by athletes then it associated with their success as athletes; which is to me kind of risky.
I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me. Then, we they fail to succeed in doing ALL things (like win for example) it makes the uneducated think that the verse doesn't hold up.
