Mark Hominick vs. Pablo Garza

Round 1:
Marc-Andre Cote is your referee. Hominick moves forward, but Garza is throwing jabs and low kicks. Garza continues using kicks to keep his distance. Hominick opens up with a four-punch combo, but Garza weathers it and responds with a knee which sends Hominick scurrying backwards. Hominick with a two-punch combo, then just misses with an uppercut. Garza kicks low and then high. Hominick stuns Garza with a right hand. Two minutes left. Garza goes for a single leg, but the exchange ends with Hominick tripping Garza. Garza traps Hominick in an arm bar, but Hominick stays patient and gets out of it. Hominick is in Garza's guard. Garza kicks him off and they both scramble to their feet. One minute left. Hominick lands a nasty body shot which drops Garza. Garza manages to get back to his feet, and Garza nails him with a punch which opens a bad cut on Hominick's left eye. Such a close, action-packed round.

Round 2:
They come out swinging again. Garza goes for a takedown, Hominick rolls, but it still ends up with Garza in Hominick's guard. Garza slowly gets the better of Hominick on the mat, using his length advantage to move Hominick toward the fence. Garza lands several elbows. Hominick works for an omoplata, but doesn't get it. Still on the ground. Hominick's now cut under both eyes. Hominick works his way back to his feet, dodges an upkick, and goes back into his guard. Garza grinds away with short punches and elbows. Garza raining down elbows late. Close to a 10-8 round.

Round 3:
Hominick slowly finds his range over the opening minute, but Garza scores a takedown. Garza is landing short, slicing elbows. Garza stands, Hominick reaches for his left leg, but Garza drops back into Hominick's guard. Two minutes left. Garza isn't coming close to finishing Hominick, but Hominick seems to have no answer. Hominick finally pushes Garza off and gets back to his feet, but they go right back to the ground with Garza in half-guard. Final minute. Hominick tries for an arm bar in the closing seconds, but nothing comes of it.
