How do you measure worth

What makes some people more valuable then others?
What counts as the value of a human life?
When can you look back and say, yes, I have lived a life worth living?
At what point do you admit defeat and abandon your dreams?
If you fail, does it make you lesser in some way?
Can all mistakes be forgiven?
How can you forgive yourself?
When do you run out of new starts, or succeed in actually ever making one?

What counts as the value of a human life? All life has value
When can you look back and say, yes, I have lived a life worth living? Every day
At what point do you admit defeat and abandon your dreams? Never, I may take a break or readjust but I never abandon my dreams
If you fail, does it make you lesser in some way? Nope, that's just silly
Can all mistakes be forgiven? Yep
How can you forgive yourself? I forgive myself just as I forgive others. It's hard and sometimes I have to work at it.
When do you run out of new starts, or succeed in actually ever making one? Every day is a new start

Are you feeling out of sorts?

Darn, is it existential slump day already?

What makes some people more valuable then others?
-I can see myself from here; that makes me more valuable than you.:tongue0011:

What counts as the value of a human life?
-It has no monetary value. God gave his own Sonís to redeem ours, so...

When can you look back and say, yes, I have lived a life worth living?
-You should be able to do that every day; if you canít, start NOW!

At what point do you admit defeat and abandon your dreams?
-Daily.

If you fail, does it make you lesser in some way?
-Yes, but not as much as not trying in the first place.

Can all mistakes be forgiven?
-Probably, but donít push your luck.

How can you forgive yourself?
-No, thatís up to God.

When do you run out of new starts, or succeed in actually ever making one?
-Daily.

1. the acceptance of the fact that they aren't more valuable than anyone.

2. only GOD, without Him all life is pointless and has no value.

3. probably best to wait until after your life is over to do that, otherwise you run the risk of becoming prideful.

4. I don't think you can honestly start truly pursuing your dreams unless you do this first. Our dreams should be absolutely impossible for us without GOD's help. Otherwise, we might look back on our lives and think, "Look at all the great things I've done."

5. no, it makes you stronger and wiser. A person who has never known anything but success is weak, because they have never actually challenged themselves.

6. yes, but we need to be sure that we are not candy-coating sins by referring to them as "mistakes."

7. if we refuse to forgive ourselves, when we've already been forgiven by GOD, then we are basically spitting in GOD's face and telling Him that His forgiveness isn't good enough for us.

8. on the day you die.

What makes some people more valuable then others?

peoples contribution to society .. murderers, rapists etc hold very little value to society .. sure we are all "sinners" but some sins are worse than others and those who committ the most heinous sins hold little value and wouldn't be missed it they were to suddenly vanish
What counts as the value of a human life?

what people can bring to society .. like i said above, some people are more valuable than others ...
When can you look back and say, yes, I have lived a life worth living?

at any time you feel you have accomplished enough that if you were to die today, you would feel you left those that depend on you with enough that they would be able to go on without hardship
At what point do you admit defeat and abandon your dreams?

i do not know what defeat is .... kidding ... depends on the person and the dream i guess ..
If you fail, does it make you lesser in some way?

yes, if you just give up
Can all mistakes be forgiven? by who? humans? probably not ...
How can you forgive yourself?
its tough ..
When do you run out of new starts, or succeed in actually ever making one?
like nate said!

Your ideas sound dangerously close to a meritocracy. Which is a form of social eugenics that basically says only those who contribute and are productive to society deserve to live.

yeah, it probably is ... i didn't say i was right ... just i can't possibly come to the realization that murderers and rapists and other scum of the earth are as much worth as others .. and i know where you are going .. so, yeah, it does sound dangerous ..
