Also, I found this Sports Illustrated article about Mike Powell: an outgoing and hard-working college wrestling coach who found himself diagnosed with a rare disease that attacks the muscle tissue in the body. His story is pretty interesting, so I recommend everybody read it:

I read the article about Mike Powell and it's pretty long, but definitely worth the read.

I was having problems with the link, couldn't get past the 1st page so I just went and looked it up. I definitely think his wrestling background is what has helped him have that "never give up" attitude in battling and living with this terrible disease. A great example of how the spirit triumphs.

Very inspiring.
