Dragons: did they exist?
 

Legends all over the world for centuries before technology became so prevalent. Historical documents all over the world - Marco Polo wrote of them. Chinese calendar has an animal for every single month - then a dragon.

Were they really what we now call dinosaurs?

I think so. Job talks about an animal with a tail like a cedar tree.

Yeah, the Behemoth and Leviathon from Job are clearly descriptions of animals that we would consider dinosaurs today.

I always find it funny when people ask why dinosaurs aren't mentioned in the Bible. The simple answer is that the King James translation was completed in 1611 and the word "dinosaur" wasn't coined until 1842. It's as easy as that. :laugh:

seriously though, i doubt they did exist ... i think they were dinosaurs like you stated but didn't breathe fire etc .. or fly

Define Dragons.

There are many prehistoric animals, and many modern day reptilian lizards which would pass.

has anything ever breathed fire? I very, VERY much doubt it.

But a large flying Lizard...well of course.

As for Dinosaurs...thats well into backdated chronology, so I dont know whether it really existed in the way people claim.
