Aside from this Controversy- Closing the Topic
I guess we will never know if GSP intentionally knew the actions of his corner man. We will also never know if his corner man made a mistake or intentionally did it for GSP. We will know one thing for sure, that it will never happen again. BJ has filed an investigation against GSP's corner man, and nothing is going to happen to GSP. So that's that.

But back to fighting, I don't see anyone beating GSP for a LONG LONG TIME in the WW division. I see this hurting Dana, as it appears GSP has lost a lot of fans in the recent days and might affect good PPV numbers. Overall, I think most MMA fans are going to have to accept- greasy or not, that he will be on top of this division for a while.

I used to be a big fan, but am on the fence because i can never prove what GSP knew that night or what was in the mind of his cornerman. But I do know, that he is only 27 years old. If he continues to dominate everyone match after match, that the UFC once again lose fan base because people will just get tired of one sided fights.

So, my real question is who are the contenders that can dethrone GSP? I don't think Thiago has the ground game to compete with GSP.

The only other prospect is, as much as I hate to say it, Is Koscheck? Anyone else, maybe Dustin Hazlett?

I don't know that it hurts the UFC or Dana for this controversy to be going on. I actually think it might draw more people to watch to see the next GSP fight just out of curiosity. Alves will give him a good fight and everyone wants to know if Alves will make weight and if GSP will grease. Dana thrives on this stuff and will find a way to tweak things behind the scenes with the press to work everyone up into a frenzy for this fight.
