First thing that sprang into my mind though was that this is a bit of a kick in the teeth for Evan Tanners family is it not!?

I mean well done to Chuck and Mask .... but mask never even fought in the UFC ... or anything else to my knowledge (Very good chance I'll be wrong on that one) Evan was a hell of a fighter and a bit of a Legend in the eyes of many ... but gets no mention!

I don't believe Mask ever fought in the UFC but I know they did an awesome job ( Tapout) of sponsoring young broke guys so that they can train and fight and not have to work to support it so they could better their chance in becoming a better fighter. Also, they have donated a gazillion dollars to different charities. Maybe Dana is honoring him because he's a cheap bastard and it's just cheaper to do this for Mask then to pay new fighters real money:laugh:

And I don't believe they should put someone in the HOF just because they are dead either.

I like it all the way around.... Chuck and Mask in.... Tanner not.... I'm cool with it.

Does anyone know the process for being inducted to the UFC HOF? I'm a little curious...

Mask did a lot for mma, putting mask in is sort of like other sports putting in managers, commentators, etc....The tanner story was tragic, but dying shouldn't earn you a spot...He was a great fighter, but not HOF worthy

I hate to say it but I'm afraid that's probably right...........

Plenty of non-players are inducted into other sports HOF's, and Mask is definitely a worthy addition to the UFC HOF. No problem at all with that class of two.
