Finishing Bonus or maybe removal of win bonuses by decision?

Just had an idea for Dana. We've seen it at every event, and oftentimes, the main event (Silva/Cote, Silva/Leites, Arlovski/Sylvia III) where it seems the opponents don't seem to give a crap if they fans get upset because the fights are lackluster in aggression.

Dana should institute a "finishing bonus." They already have "Fight of the Night", "Submission of the Night", and "KO of the night,", but I think it would help all the fighters know they can get some extra money in the fight by not letting it go to the judges. Granted, the fighters shouldn't allow that to happen anyways.

Or possibly not awarding a "win bonus" if it goes to the judges' hands? Now I realize sometimes the fighters are working their asses off (Sherk/Griffin, Sherk/Hughes, etc.) to get the finish, but if it doesn't happen, too bad.

What do you guys think?

Fighters should just get a portion of their purse taken from them.

just because I fight finishes doesn't mean it was a good fight! IMO in alot of cases if a fight is pretty close and makes it to the judges it could just mean both guys where pretty evenly match. MMA if first and formost a sport. Fighters can fight to end a fight or to out point the other guy. Theres nothing wrong with a fight going the distance as long as both guys are there to fight.

thank you ... it was something like 15 or 20 % for a yellow card and 50% for a red or some thing like that

There is no need to change the rules at all. The UFC already has a rule against timidity. If the Ref wanted to, he could issue a foul, and take a point away, or even disqualify the offending fighter. If both fighters don't want to fight, they could just call it off and declare the match a no contest.

Im kindof at odds with docking anyones pay for anyreason, besides illegal substances usage or not hitting weight.
Theres gotta be a better way to keep fights from stalling w/o jeopardizing a fighters position. If refs were more consistant with their calling of fights I think that helps overall as well. You see some fights where the fighters are working for postition and the get stood up and some they are doing nothing and ref lets it continue.
I guess maybe win bonus is less if its won by decision and more if its won by the fighter.Or maybe even make it tiers of a win bonus according on how u win the fight. Just a poor example(ofcourse different fighters get different bonus):
Lets just say win bonus is $10,000 + $10,000 if the win is by KO;$9,000 if win is by TKO, $8,000 by submission; $7,000 if won by decision, $6,000 by cut/ref stoppage(I just hate wins by cuts). So, this is just an idea maybe it may work or not. Then u can throw in bonus's for sub/ko/fight of the night.:unsure-1:

i haven't seen any UFC refs take points for slacking. in Pride they did.

Prides rules regarding the cards and reduction of purses is alright, but I've seen them hand out those cards for practically no reason before. Machida wouldn't even leave with anything if those rules were implemented. I swear that pride would tell the refs that they had to hand out a certain amount of cards per show. So many times have I seen a ref, stop the fight for no reason and take away a chunk of the fighters purse with a card. I think a finishing bonus is better than taking money out of these fighters pockets. Fighters go through too much training and sacrifice to take money from them.
