Anyways, I did sign up for the 401k plan at Walmart. I've been thinking about what you said and I've been getting nowhere handling my finances my way for the last 37 years, so I'm going to try things your way and see what happens.

If they are taking the money that you are giving them and sinking it into Presidential candidates in exchange for political favors, then I would wonder if anything is going to be there at all when it comes time for you to retire. I'm not trying to be insulting, so I don't know why you are getting angry here.

Do you really think it's wise to put the welfare of your family in the hands of an organization that is as blatantly corrupt as the Teamsters? I just think the unions are only looking out for themselves and their own political agendas, they could care less about you and your family. I'm not saying that you should stop paying your dues, but you should think about a back up plan in case they decide to sell you up the river.
