Me too. It hurt me to give my TX driver's license up. I did that yesterday. I miss the bluebonnets too. But, I do love a lot of things about NC too so I will adjust.

I'm leaving tomorrow morning for Ardmore, OK and I'll probably end up making a couple of deliveries down in Texas. I almost always enjoy going down there.

I've done quite a few deliveries in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I was stationed at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio in the late 80's and it was a great time. I've always thought that San Antonio would be a great place to move if I could ever escape Yankee land. :)

San Antonio is nice. There's a lot to do there with or without family. I love the Austin area too and there's a ton of fun nightlife there as well. Great music scene.

Ditto. Those are some long rattlers and their color is just amazing. If they weren't up like that, it would have been hard to see them.

I've always thought reptiles in general have a bad rep. and are sorely misunderstood. However spiders are a different issue. :scared0011: I'll run like a bat of hell if someone places a spider on me.

Ahh! KILL DEVIL HILLS!!!!!

That is a beach place about 2 hours from my old stomping grounds, and you'll love it! It's a bit of a drive from Raleigh tho.....

And Rockdawg, you pictures are awesome. I never realized snakes had such a ritualistic mating dance, or 'slither'....

Nope, a friend sent those to me in an e-mail. I thought they were pretty cool so I decided to share them on here.
