only they have decided to run their own promotion in Hull, thats real close by to me. So I got intouch with "Legatus Legionis" a guy called Alan Orr who lives even closer in York, and I'm gonna meet him for an interview and attend their event.

I just wonder if anyone has ever heard of them...or after looking at the site below thinks their stuff looks good....so I looked on their links page...and loooookey what I found...something about Alan Orr

looks interesting! I just wanted everyones opinion. This guy clearly has a background in some kind of Martial Art, he runs a clothes wear brand, and he is about to host a largeish promotion (he's got Jess Liaudin on the card, thats how I discovered him LOL)

What are peoples thoughts on MMA brands that do promotions? Do you think that in the UK that could help boost the popularity of MMA?


Guys...PLEASE respond to this, so that I can use some of your thoughts and feelings for when I meet the guy. I know his event is England based...but his brand could surely be used to sponcer US fighters...? :ninja:

More power to him for hosting promotions. I guess it depends all on his buisness savvy and what he wants to accomplish. Does he wanna be a huge contender on the promotion scene or is he content on just promoting smaller venues. Also,I think its how professional the promotions are put on. Even if its a low budget type promotion its all about professionalism and organization imo.
Far as boosting the popularity of MMA in the UK I'm sure it will help for sure. Its all about getting his brand out there and spreading the word the best he can. Is he planning on trying to get some exposure via contacting bigger named fighters? Has he or is he planning on contacting some of these US based camps/fighters to see if they will wear his gear can't hurt.
I looked at the stuff and it looks okay maybe needs a little more variety. Heck maybe he could do a contest to have someone design some graphics for him that could bring in some interest in his promotions/gear..
I'm not buisness expert nor mma expert so maybe someone here can throw ya some better advice..
