:ninja: Do you sometimes hear a bit of music, or a song, and suddenly think of a Fighter?

perhaps its their walk out music...or its a song from a video highlight reel of them...

Yes I do! Aside from the obvious with Matt and HW Jr.

AC/DC's "For those about to Rock" reminds me of Rich Franklin.
Actually anything from Eminem reminds me of Tito
2Pac's "California Love" reminds me of Faber.
Some songs by IZ remind me of BJ Penn.

Ain't no sunshine reminds me of Anderson Silva

God gave me style for Jon Jones, he also came out to Empire State of Mind when he fought Shogun...Came out to Angry Johnny when he first entered the UFC

I like BJ's music although I don't know the name of his song. Except for Country Boy and Face The Pain, no one else's music comes to mind except that dopey "woohoo" song that Bisping walks out to (sorry Foxy).

This is sort of related to MMA though...I think about atomdanger when I hear FFDP's version of Bad Company because he posted about it here.:laugh::laugh:

Amazing cover, almost better than the original.

I love Anderson's walkout music...It just kinda sets the tone that something bad is about to happen.

Jon Jones also came out to 'Coming Home' by P Diddy when he fought Rampage.

Speaking of Rampage, I liked when he used to come out to 'Can't be touched' by Roy Jones Jr.

"Back in the Saddle Again" for Randy. "I get knocked down, but I get up, again" for Forrest. I remember a few years ago when there was PPV and a free card within a couple days of each other and both Melvin Guillard and Josh Koscheck came out to "This is Why I'm Hott". Im pretty sure they both lost lol

It is. "Iz" is short for Israel Kamakawiwo'ole and "E Ala E" means "Awake" in the Hawaiian language.

Yep, that was back in February 2006, during my first trip to the Rancho3M Orphanage. Matt and I had been talking over emails for a few weeks before that, but we met in person for the first time on that trip (this video was recorded about 3-4 days in).

You might have heard him do this one. If not, enjoy for the first time.

Unfortunately, he died about 15 years ago of complications from morbid obesity.

I nearly forgot to add my own. We'll start with Georges Saint Pierre...its the fact that these lyrics are SO him

High flying, adored
So young, the instant queen
A rich beautiful thing, of all the talents
A cross between a fantasy of the bedroom and a saint
You were just a backstreet girl
Hustling and fighting, scratching and biting

High flying, adored
Did you believe in your wildest moments
All this would be yours
That you'd become the lady of them all?

Were there stars in your eyes
When you crawled in at night
From the bars, from the sidewalks
From the gutter theatrical
Don't look down, it's a long, long way to fall

High flying, adored
What happens now, where do you go from here?
For someone on top of the world
The view is not exactly clear
A shame you did it all at twenty-six
There are no mysteries now
Nothing can thrill you, noone fulfill you

High flying, adored
I hope you come to terms with boredom
So famous so easily, so soon
It's not the wisest thing to be

You won't care if they love you
It's been done before
You'll despair if they hate you
You'll be drained of all energy
All the young who've made it would agree

[Eva:]
High flying, adored
That's good to hear but unimportant
My story's quite usual
Local girl makes good, weds famous man
I was stuck in the right place at the perfect time
Filled a gap, I was lucky
But one thing I'll say for me
Noone else can fill it like I can

Next...we got BJ Penn

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkXbzffVl44

Where once was light
Now darkness falls
Where once was love
Love is no more
Don't say goodbye
Don't say I didn't try

These tears we cry
Are falling rain
For all the lies you told us
The hurt, the blame!
And we will weep to be so alone
We are lost
We can never go home

So in the end
I'll be what I will be
No loyal friend
Was ever there for me

Now we say goodbye
We say you didn't try

These tears you cry
Have come too late
Take back the lies
The hurt, the blame!

And you will weep
When you face the end alone
You are lost
You can never go home
You are lost
You can never go home
