This should IMMEDIATELY ring alarm bells with ANY Christian...to the best of my knowledge outside the book of Revelation this is the first Soverignty to actually publish a work suggesting such a thing...whilst they dont have the power to make it happen...the mere open suggestion is one step closer to it occuring....We all know how central to most interpretations of Revelation there is for there to be a single dominance of governance over the Planet...something that can be used for the rise of the Lucifer

I wish they would just BUTT OUT and stick with attending to their flock. There is enough work to be done with them and with their clergy that it should keep them busy for the next hundred years or so.

Extremely short-sighted and ignorant on the part of the Vatican. They obviously value world power and influence more highly than Biblical Truth and weeding out corruption within their own ranks.

A one-world government is a horrible idea even if you are not a Christian. Everyone understands that all governments are corrupt on some level and the more power a government is given the greater opportunities for corruption and the more devastating consequences that corruption will have. A one-world government would have more power than any human government in the history of this planet has ever had. However, corruption is not going to go away and, once you combine that with the unprecedented power over human life such a government would have, then the consequences of that corruption would potentially be far more horrific and destructive than any war that a one-world government might prevent.

Right now, if people live under a tyrannical government they can flee to another country and beg for assistance from other governments. But what if the tyrannical government has supreme power over the entire world? People would have to actually leave the planet in order to flee from it.

In other words, a one-world government will never work.
