Aww, are you feeling blue, Tyburn?

I buy plants, this never fails to cheer me up. Option #2 - indulge in some decadent and fattening dessert. :)

:laugh: No...I am feeling fine! I am having a feast for Bonnie The Zebra Finches Birthday...and planning my US Tour.

Thats what made me think about this...see when I am blue...I just imagine I am back sitting on the harbour of Chicago and listening to all the masts of the little yachts clinc as they bash against each other in the breeze :ashamed:

If I'm sad usually my husband hugs me and i feel a little better. he's very calm and mellow and I'm not so he really calms me down. If he's the one that makes me mad I try and take a hot shower and then a cold glass of coke. And also music helps.

I get cheered up by watching someone else fall down. Or seeing someone walk into sliding glass doors that they don't realize are closed. Yeah, something is quite wrong with me. :unsure-1: :laugh:

:happy0198::happy0198:I knew there was a reason I liked you!!! Your stock just went up in my book, I don't think there is anything wrong with that, I consider those good qualities and I got in a better mood just thinking about someone falling down!:laugh:

i think back past the years about how blessed I am and how much better i have it than so many other people, including many in the US but especially those around the world I think about how much burdens others are and have to carry, be it financial or health or whatever, and I realize I have it pretty good and there is very little reason to have a blue attitude......ever.....

Hard Luck

BY EDGAR ALBERT GUEST

Ain’t no use as I can see
In sittin’ underneath a tree
An’ growlin’ that your luck is bad,
An’ that your life is extry sad;
Your life ain’t sadder than your neighbor’s
Nor any harder are your labors;
It rains on him the same as you,
An’ he has work he hates to do;
An’ he gits tired an’ he gits cross,
An’ he has trouble with the boss;
You take his whole life, through an’ through,
Why, he’s no better off than you.

If whinin’ brushed the clouds away
I wouldn’t have a word to say;
If it made good friends out o’ foes
I’d whine a bit, too, I suppose;
But when I look around an’ see
A lot o’ men resemblin’ me,
An’ see ’em sad, an’ see ’em gay
With work t’ do most every day,
Some full o’ fun, some bent with care,
Some havin’ troubles hard to bear,
I reckon, as I count my woes,
They’re ’bout what everybody knows.

The day I find a man who’ll say
He’s never known a rainy day,
Who’ll raise his right hand up an’ swear
In forty years he’s had no care,
Has never had a single blow,
An’ never known one touch o’ woe,
Has never seen a loved one die,
Has never wept or heaved a sigh,
Has never had a plan go wrong,
But allas laughed his way along;
Then I’ll sit down an’ start to whine
That all the hard luck here is mine.
