You can check out my pictures at http://www.myspace.com/dsd619 and look at the new albums including "Prosperous Lead Mine" "Pateley Bridge" and "The Nidderdale walk" and recent additions to "Pets and plants" for pictures of the encounters with wildlife

You dont need to watch all...but watching one will give you an idea of what I was up against...there is a little description near each one to help you choose...its important for those who did donate...to show that I actually did complete the event :)

I slagged you off over the sponsorship thing, and I can't be bothered to watch your videos, but you are to be congratulated for getting off your arse and doing something constructive, nice one.

 well thanks...and your forgiven of course

Actually, truth be told, it wasnt as hard as I thought...and when I talked to others I heard that the 15 miles is supposed to be about equal to the 7, because although twice the length...its also twice as flat

on the Seven Mile, you go up through some steep hills, then across a 60 foot ridge, down, then back up 60 feet...but that 60 feet is up through a disused lead mine...sooo..you're basically climbing two hundred year old slag heaps...then back down to Pateley...the 15 miles...is more a sorta 15 mile stretch round the river, through some trees and back... I wanted to keep walking when i'd finished...I could, if i'd pushed, made that walk in less then 1.30 It took me around three-four...but I kept stopping and spent more time Mooing at cows, and walking off the track to take shots, then walking properly...The 15 mile walk is something I look forward to for next year

The 22 mile still causes concern...that involves a walk along the rinver, through the trees...but then climbing the hill to the Reserviour. Then round the locks and dams, and back down. The walk doesnt concern me...it will be the length of the 15 with the hills of the 7 sort of thing...what concerns me is that they do put a time limit on that one...I want to do it within the time limit...but still stop for the cows...and im afraid I may not be able to do both :unsure-1:

Get yourself off to the Lake District for some practice then, no nicer place than that around. And why am I forgiven? haha

I wish I had a car or free transport...coz there are soooo many nice places near here...but they are all just beyond walking distance... maybe when I can afford to I shall learn to ride a bike...then I can go off for walks every weekend :w00t:

btw Thanks Mike
