There is a Cathedral in New York dedicated to Saint John. New York of course being a former British Collonial outpost. I saw this video...pause it at 2.13 and you see, what looks like a Verger leading a procession...but he is not carrying a Virge. He is carrying a mace...Virge gets carried the the point infront, a Mace gets carried with the point behind.
Mace were symbols of office and authority...and to the best of my knowledge...those things do not tend to get given out by the United States of America...they also dont tend to be given out by any denomination of Christendom.
Added to this, is the VERY BIG row of Saint George Crosses that are hanging on flags from State Trumpets at the Cathedrals West End.
Does anyone know anything about this??
