Well I know Texas is mad at him right now. He's completely ignored the state of emergency there with the wildfires. Texas asked for aid and has not even received an answer yet.

That's because we are smart and didn't vote for him. We wanted to have more than just "change" in our pockets.

I was still making good sales while Bush was in office. Between 2009 and now, it has decreased 60%.

President Obama is busy in Europe for a G8 Summit seeing Russian and Japanese Dignitaries after his State Visit to The Republic of Eire, and England, so he's too busy to do a blog this week.

In his absence it falls to the Vice President instead, and his topic of choice is the repayment of bail out monies from the motor industry.

...nevermind the Missouri Tornadoes... :unsure-1:

If noone minds me saying...they have poor subject choice for their weekly blogs.

But I like Joe Biden it has to be said.

Although we are still in August...Barack Obama speaks this week about the Tenth Commemoration.... of 9/11

...and here is the thing, he calls it an Annaversary...but really its a Commemoration...coz an annaversary is something you celebrate, and noone celebrates that kind of terrorist activity...a Commemoration, is more of a solemnity really.

Its not a Weekly address...but President Barack Obama has been doing some political socializing...he's just been entertaining a visit from the Prime Minister of Turkey...and he's also hosted The President of Afghanistan...probably because one of the former Presidents involved in rebuilding the country has been murdered.

Finally he appeared before The United Nations General Assembly, where The National Transitional Council of Libya (formerlly the Rebels fighting against Colonel Gadaffi) have been formally recognised and supported.

The one thing I DO like about his speech is where he says how intervention in civil conflicts shouldnt always occure, but there have been times where There has not been the courage to fight against tyrants that caused the death of masses, and that they are forever haunted by that....I find that interesting from a US President because I dont believe the admitance of being isolationistic early in her International Career has ever been addressed directly by an American President in the international arena...certainly not with a hint of regret for lack of action. He also stresses greatly about how everything to do with the Libyan Conflict from a United States Perspective has not only been sanctioned by United States Law...but also, has been sanctioned by The United Nations, and that whilst the Americans did lead the bombardment for a few weeks, NATO, long term, were the military force of choice. Indicating and emphasising that in one respect The United States isnt, and shouldnt be isolationistic, but in another instance, that the United States should neither be pre-emptive nor unilateral. Me thinks President Obama likes the United Nations. He actually goes as far as effectively thanking his European Allied Partners...something that the United States has never been quick to do in the past.

Not sure he had one...coz it was FAR from a flawless speech, he stuttered several times...and I think he got the name of the new Libyan Government the wrong way round...

btw...that wasnt the only speech he made...he made a second on just...er...general life (as opposed to Libya specifically)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UK7JEYqIfw4

He is also certainly far too Pro Palestine....

There are two problems with what Barack Obama is saying, and two reasons why the responses to his speech is complete silence. The first is that telling us about his acolades are pointless. He speaks as if we can re-ellect him, and we cant do that. As many Americans pay no attention to the United Nations...who is he exactly speaking to?

Secondly...I personally appreaciate what he is trying to say, and I aggree with what he says about what the United Nations is, and what it should be. But...with all due respect, The United States has absolutely no right to lecture member countries on working together...considering its history within the organisation over the last decade...and European Members particularly are not going to congratulate the US for telling us that it will now behave itself within the organisation...neither do we believe this will be the case...for as soon as President Barack Obama dissapears, a completely new American Administration will begin, with completely different ideas and emphasis. I am personally glad he understands the United Nations...but the United States made the United Nations completely Worthless in 2003...at least as far as War goes...Sanctions and debates, negotiation and alliances are still apt...but it doesnt matter how vehemenently The 44th Declaires, or hails the Institution...he cant undo what happened...and on an International Level, the United Nations, in all honnesty STOPPED being the 1940s dream. Pulling out of Iraq doesnt change the fact that America will do what it wants, when it wants. He can not fool the International Community like he Can and did fool the American voters. His words are words...perhaps he means them, perhaps he doesnt...maybe he will act on them...but even if he does, there are some things that he can not change...sooo to prattle on about the UN constitution to the audience that tried to uphold that constitution against his own country less then a decade ago, and failed, isnt going to motivate nor win him support. Even if you agree with what the US did...you can see that his audience is to those who absolutely, on the whole, dissagreed with America...so they are going to find it hypocritical that he dares lecture them on the nuances of working as a community of soverignties.

IMHO that bridge between the US and UN cant and wont be mended within this generation...and by the time we've moved on to the future where noone cares about the wars of this past decade...the United Nations probably will have even less power then it does now, and the US will no longer be a super power.

Thats nothing against anyone or any nation personally...it is just the impact of what happened is too great for a quick reconciliation, and neither establishment have the time to fix this to its 20th century position.

...Obama entertained the French President today

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2TqgnIzwck

They dont like each other...When Barack Obama has finished speaking he asks the French Dignitory to translate, and President Sarkozy says No LMFAO...firstly his English is probably good enough to understand the American...but then Obama INSISTS on it being translated, and Sarkozy sits there, glumly, having been put in his place hahahaha Sarkozy in his speech is so horribly European...most of what he is saying if read between the lines...is terribly pointed. He talks of a president and super power who is able to listen to others and be aware of others opinions.

Its probably fair to say...they hate each other!
