The British Government is trying to reform how it runs, particularly the House of Commons, which is the democratic half. They are trying to see if a different style of vote will work, and they also want to make Ellections on fixed dates...creating Parliaments that last five years.

The House of Lords is concerned, not at the proposals but at the length of the Fixed Term. They claim British Governments really only have a shelf life of about THREE years...not Five :laugh:
