Coming from southern NJ, what's the best way to park my truck somewhere reasonable and get a train to midtown Manhattan? I'll probably come up 95 but the Parkway is an option I suppose. I don't want to try parking my big truck in Manhattan so I need an affordable option. Suggestions?

I was looking at the PATH but not sure the best place to get on. Also considered the Ferry from Weehawkin but we're on a schedule and not sure how fast that would be.
Thanks.

Sorry if you checked this thread thinking I would be any help at all, considering I live in the desert. I just wanted to say I think your sig is Photoshop mastery. :)

I've been told that parking in Manhattan shouldn't be that bad. The real question is whether or not it would be faster to take a train/ferry into manhattan instead of driving through the tunnel at 8am on a Tuesday.

Again, I can't actually provide any useful info, but I am curious what parking is like in the Big Apple.

After spending so many years in Chicago, I can only imagine is sucks ass x10...

That's going to be tricky. you might try finding a spot on the street in Hoboken or Jersey City and grab the PATH. You could also drive to Queens, park in front of my building and commute in with me!
Parking in the city during the week is a huge pain in the butt.
I say park in a neighborhood and take a train in. That time of day everyone is leaving for work so you'll have your pick of spots.

Well I'm not sure if you would want to do this, but the girls and I drove to Hamilton, parked there, and then took the train right into Central Station. It was the local train and it took us about an hour but it was pretty easy for us and no hassle.

That's what we are going to do when we go to NYC over Christmas break.......
