It was such a good weekend!! it reminded me of back in the summer, when I was supposed to go with my Father for our monthly meeting in a pub (:laugh:) and he cancelled coz his car broke down...I had looked forward to it all week...but he had a shattered ankle from falling off a ladder several years ago, and despite all the sergery and pins and stuff, he's got like 100 different pieces of bone...his early 50s, and slightly overweight...so it aint never gonna get better, he walks slowly with a stick now...so walking out to the pub...just not going to happen.

Anyway, whilst I was sulking at home...my Sister Tiffany decided to throw a BBQ...They have a car, so they could drive my Father round...so he went, and I went...and it turned out to be WAY better then one of our pub meetings :laugh:

She can bearly see detail at all, due to macular degeneration. Basically she uses a strong light and a massive magnifying glass and flicks between the postcard and her canvass...it must take her FOREVER :laugh:

But she takes her time and she does them really well I think...mostly water colours I think :)

Watson To Open New Gym

After a successful stint as the head Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor at The Hit Squad Gym in Granite City, Raymond native and UFC fighter Kyle Watson is ready for his next endeavor.

The Lincolnwood grad, who now lives in St. Louis with his wife Laura, will be starting his own gym at 3684 Forest Park Avenue in St. Louis, with hopes of opening the doors in mid to late July.

The new Watson Martial Arts facility will be housed on the second floor of the building, which is also home to The Lab Gym, a fitness facility with a range of cardio and weight equipment, locker rooms, and showers. Members of Watson's gym will also have 24 hour access to The Lab.

Watson says that his main focus will be on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, in which he is a black belt, but will also delve into other areas of martial arts.

"BJJ will be the focus, but I will also offer kickboxing (both muay thai and cardio), kid classes, MMA, and wrestling classes," Watson said.

According to his website, www.watsonbjj.com, the school is "dedicated to making a positive impact on people’s lives by exposing them to the many benefits martial arts has to offer."

:laugh: Nathan didnt have a gas guzzler when I visited him in 2007, he had this mini truck thingy...it was brilliant except for when this rather exotic waspy thing got into the cab. I enjoyed sitting wiggling my feet off the end of the back trailor in the middle of a cornfield...boomer was doing it too :ashamed:

I assumed Boomer would have a gas guzzler, coz he's always seemed really high powered....but he had a small car...which was unfortunate, coz on the five hour journey from chicago to hillsboro, we stopped off for a bite to eat...and after getting done for double dipping :unsure-1: we got back in the car...and it was stinky pooh....he said it smelled of sox and butts or something....now if the car was bigger..I bet the smell would have dissapated :laugh: it made me laugh though

Nope I am not being forceable Evicted yet...that will depend on how bad the war with my Landlord goes. During the first Granville War he threatened eviction...he hasnt dont this time yet.

I promised myself I wouldnt spend another Winter in Granville because ive been ill across the last two christmas and am sure its because of this place. My parents have been trying to get me on the property ladder for the last year and a half, with part buy part rent....but the Council wouldnt really support me, and then there were issues with securing a mortgage.

So now I'm just going for another rented accomodation. My Birds are part of the deal for accepting me :laugh: My landlord generally leaves me alone until the house is full of people, and then he turns into an idiot coz he has more money coming in...course as soon as they move out, he shuts down...thats how the First Granville War ended...he caved in when everyone else moved out and he was suddenly dependant on me for making any income off Granville!

Its okay, I didnt know her very well, but its really upset my Nan who I am close with. They were sisters....my Nan is soon to be 89...and Joan was 96. She has been on deaths door for nearly two years now. But its still very sad. :sad:
